2019 Race Director Welcome

On behalf of everyone at the Sno Barons Snowmobile Club, welcome to Hay Days 2019. If you’re new to this event, thank you for joining us! I hope this marks the beginning of a long and exciting relationship. If you’re a Hay Days veteran, welcome back; we’re thrilled to see you again!

We strive to make this event better and more exhilarating every year, and the 53rd edition of Hay Days promises to be the biggest and most exciting yet, with more events, competitors, dealers, swappers and food vendors than ever. Quite honestly, I’m not sure two days is enough to take in the entire experience!

We’re making the thrills virtually nonstop by expanding to two mud racing and two freestyle shows on Saturday. We’ve also added a vintage-only swap area, which will make it easier for you to find the vintage machines and parts you’re looking for.

Organizing an event of this size and complexity is not easy, and we are grateful to many people – nearly all of them volunteers – for making it happen. Thank you to our volunteers, neighbors and the many clubs who have donated their time and talents to making Hay Days a reality. A special thank you to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department and emergency personnel for ensuring that we enjoy a safe, orderly and fun event.

Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank you, our attendees, for making this the biggest, most fun-filled event of its kind anywhere. Without you there would be no Hay Days.

As an 18-year member of the Sno Barons, I can’t describe how much I look forward to this event every year. I’m particularly gratified when I hear others talk about how much they enjoy it too, and that’s what motivates us to hold this event year after year.

Now, let’s get out and have some fun!
